A flexi-job is a side job under a favorable status, intended for those who already work at least 4/5 or are retired. In the administrative sector you can work as a back-office employee, data entry clerk, receptionist or customer service assistant. You earn a gross minimum wage of €12.36 per hour (2025), but you keep more of it net because no regular social contributions are withheld. Only a solidarity contribution of 28% on the gross wage is deducted. In concrete terms, for an hour of administrative flexi-work you receive approximately €8.90 net.
Because flexi-jobs do not count towards unemployment benefits and you pay no additional taxes on this income, it remains attractive. For students who already have a student job, a flexi-job is not possible, but for those who have graduated and have a main job, this is a nice extra income without administrative hassle.
Administrative flexi-jobs are found in almost every sector. Consider order processing, invoicing, customer support by phone or email, diary management, HR support and data cleaning. Because many companies cover peak periods with flexi-workers, the supply is large. Our site collects only these office functions and lets you filter by region.
